They will still do it for free. I don't know where you got this from. For starters it would never be £145, it's $150 in America and so it sure as hell won't be 1.5x the price.

Anyways, doing this without the right know how = 90% chance that you'll put your PS3 backd together and it still won't work and you have no warranty.
As Grant says and i very much agree. If you moan enough you can get anything done.

Even if you're an epic fail at arguing, just get continuous play, only cost you £5 even if it looks really suspicious, you won't have to do it again for at least a year.
