SOCOM CONFRONTATION BETA

Well...
personally i am a fan of socom.
BUT tbh this beta has been a joke.
I appreciate that betas are used to test the game, and so that improvements can be made, but the developers have got a shit load of work to do b4 the release.

The whole game lags. n when i say the whole game i mean on the map, and in the menus. the games can take up to 10 mins to load, and when they finally do they are extremely jumpy. i understand that it will be busy atm cos of everyone wanting to play it but it was quite unacceptable
The aiming system is fairly complicated, and i dont like the push to talk system. personally i think it aint a patch on cod4, and i dont think it will be wen it is released either. it just aint smooth if u no wot i mean.
the lobby system is kinda like warhawk, where people can host a specific game, search for a specific game, or do a random 1, but the game modes are really confusing. half the time, most of the people in the game had no idea wot was going on.

i never thought i wud say this, but i am seriously reconsidering getting socom wen it comes out if the gamne is not improved dramatically.

the graphics are good, wen the lag isnt so bad.
the maps are great as they are huge and really dense, so there is a lot to erxplore

yh socom is a bit slow for me... o well bak 2 economics... so easy

errr, SOCOm looks a lot like Warhawk as in it's more like RL/Animated if you get me (you know what warhawk's like) They're releasing this game in what October/November? It just isn't worth it really especially soon as R2 will be so close then and there's so many games coming out in October/Nov

If it cojmes out on Disc i'll rent it

update has been released so i will try it again and report back again with any differences.

it is supposed to reduce loading times
improve gun accuracy
reduces volume of proximity chat by 50%
addresses stability and late joining issues
creates dedicated servers, so hopefully less lag

there will be more updates on the way tho apparently

There are trophies, so hopefully i'll come out on disc so i don't have to buy it. I wish i was in the beta so i could try it out, but Brimmy won't let me the bastard

THE UPDATE...
well it has done good!
the menus are hardly laggy anymore, altho there are occasional times
the actual game lags a lot less aswell, but wen it does u no about it, and accuracy has been improved.
BUT... LOADING TIMES...
despite improving them dramatically, the fastest loading screen i have had is 1 minute 24 seconds, which tbh is long, it is made worse by the fact that there isnt a loading bar, just a spinny thing, so u cant tell how much has loaded...
neway it is much better, but it still aint ready
something else i may not have already said, the control of the guy seems kinda jerky (not laggy), it just aint as smooth as cod4 (it always cums back to cod4 dusnt it)

I want R2 to come out so i can compare to a super superior game

yea apparently u need a lot of skill for Socom ric told me... but then again if u a good playa at RFoM then u got skills as that was probably the best game for 1 on 1 s like carb on carb...yesterday played like 6 games of RFOm won 5.... 2 rounds of OBJ and 4 FFA lol some guy funknoobiest D'c so i abused him
he asked 4 1 on 1 so i did and raped him 10-3
he had 3nhalf k rounds and i had played 6 games.... he is now in my OWN'D list

try playing SOCOM and when they say you need skill it'slike saying COD4 has tactics in a ranked match against Lvl 2's
It's all about the people you're playing, which klets be honest is mainly a collection of School failures with a dead end job and no life and hence a bunch of fucking retards that can hardly hold the controller properly
