Everything sounds fun apart from the class system. I loved at the beginning of the game, every1 would just run to get the good guns lol n get pissed if they didn't get em. The class system was good for Call of duty 4 because of the customization, but haven't heard about that in rfom2 and that's why i think it's bad.

lol nice stalker online as well? if so they goner ave 2 remove cloak otherwise noobs will dominate it and b like the first 1 again

They're doing way more stuff than this. They're going all out on it,

• One campaign focusing on Nathan Hale across 1950's USA invaded by the Chimera.
Game starts out with Hale getting shot down in Iceland (this is the first level) and the country getting overrun by the Chimera. He barely manages to escape alive back to the USA. Nathan Hale is there recruited into a top secret program called the Sentinels, other soldiers who are immune to the virus. Alongside each other they train and prepare for the war. Two years go by and then the shit hits the fans. The Chimera invades with hundreds of gigantic crafts attacking both coastal shores of the USA. UNITED WE FALL.
• One campaign specifically crafted for Co-op focusing on a squad of soldiers, supports 2 players offline, 8 players Online (Co-op). Story runs parallel to the singleplayer with a bit more focus on level flow instead of story presentation. Each players have different classes.
• Online Multiplayer (dedicated servers with faster matchmaking than any game before) supporting 60 people, lobbies for individual squads. Each squad is given different objectives and the (huge) levels flow such that it's squad versus squad instead of hoping everyone together.
• Classes for Co-op, templates include Heavy which is equipped with a chaingun and is powered by the amount of kills he makes which again recharges a mobile shield. There's a Special Ops class that has a re-engineered bullseye rifle with scope functionality and extreme stopping power. Also there's a Medic class equipped with a Medicator gun that shoots red damaging bolts at enemies and blue healing bolts at comrades.
• Mobile phone quality headset voice transfer
• Huge graphical leap with textures being sharp both close and far away. Shaders, shadowing and lighting greatly improved. Game also has a much wider color palette.
• Scaled AI so what's closer to the player and in view gets more sophisticated behavior compared to those far away.
• Randomized layout for certain areas in the Co-op campaign (also procedurally animated clouds).
• Boss fights in FPS gaming finally done right, enemies far bigger than the tallest seen in the original game.
• New creatures including Chameleons.
• Insane stat tracking & Community features coupled with MyResistance.net. Fully featured profile pages at that site tying in with social networking concepts. Clans and Parties can be open with no invites needed and more.

how u know so much but rfom2!!!!! i know nufn bout itxp is set in US which dusnt make much snse 2 me considerin uv jusst found out the chimeras weeaknes at the endof da 1st one. shulv bin set in euro and u shula bin tkn it 2 dose bitch-ass chimera. altho to b fair their ary has a reli gd dnta plan by the looks of things

i think they made this 1 in the united states of gaylords to prolong the resistance franchise, i.e. making resistance3/4 being the games which hale goes to beat up people in russia . doubt that it will be hale thou cos i've heard he only has 48 hours to live or sum shit like that lol .....not to sure thou.

It's set in America because the Chimera launch a massive attack on America. Hale is recruited into a group called "The Sentinels" who are a group of people immune to the virus.

Hale and them lot plod off over their to get rid of em but they get shot down in Iceland (which is where the first level is at)
The spokesman for Resistance 2 at the Playstation Day conference said that it'll be coming around Novermber and it was also commented that Insomniac always manages to release it's games on time.

The way it's going they're going to kill off HAle. They may either be planning on introducing a new character or quitting whilst they're ahead. My guess is that Hale will find some sort of miracle cure that will prevent him from turing into a Chimera.

Release date is scheduled for November and if Insomniac lives up to their promise they will get it out on time too.

Theres going to be a mingun and semi-auto sniper rifle.

Also haven't seen any laark or 40mm

Trust me SiK they'll get them in. I also heard they were taking the tag one step further, if you tag somebody the bullets now kill in one hit and they then proceed to fly across the map and kill everybody else too. I also heard of the shotgun rocket launcher and machine gun sniper with unlimited ammo and no reloading.

MoRe news on Resistance 2:

In an interview with Eurogamer, Insomniac boss Ted Price revealed some interesting information about the upcoming title Resistance 2.

“We do have streaming of textures and other assets now,” said Price. “Not only does this improve the overall look but it cuts down on load times. In fact, you shouldn’t notice any loading screens in R2. We’ve also added a lot more tech-wise - detail maps, new lighting system, new effects system, better normal mapping, better specular response, redone shaders and lots of behind-the-scenes stuff that makes the game really stand out aesthetically.”

“You’ll see bigger ‘levels’ or ‘chapters’ this time around. And hopefully you won’t see any loading screens. At least that’s the plan!”

Price also confirmed that Resistance 2 will be running in 720p and at 30 frames per second.

I'm hoping that resistance 2 will be like the old days on Resistance 1
ALL of us played that game and no matter what time it was (yes even 3am Mak and Dog ) somebody would always be on to play it. The lobby system on that game ruled too. Man i hope it's like that.
