MY PS3 HAS DIED!!! part 6

Was playing ps3 2day, nearly all day (just like yesterday and the day before). On at about 9:30, off at 2. on at about 3-6:20. WAs playing, andy my ps3 switched off!!! saw a RED bulb flashing, but no yellow light . Put it on, and put it off again so i wont get the YLoD! Thing is, it was NOT overheated. I saw it hotter at times, MUCH hotter. Idk, is this a sign that i might get the YLoD?

posted that yest evening on another site. 100% its the HDD, and i performed a test to prove it. 2mo im gna get another 60gb hdd that was of a ps3 (the ps3 ended up smashjed on the floor), so i will fix it!! YAY

Why don't you just fix the corrupted drive? The PS3 has a secret menu you can access. When you turn your PS3 on continue holding down the power on button until you hear 3 beeps. A weird menu will come up. I can't recall everything exactly but there was one that found and corrected problems with your hard drive.

or just back up ur ps3's hard drive then ring up sony for a brand spanking new one

hmmm, what i am gna do is that my friend's dad smashed his ps3 on the floor, so im gna get his HDD (assuming its not broken) and use that. remove everything and see what its like. must work.
